Folks Try this,go to
Settings>apps>apps info>click-on-3dotmenu in right top>show system apps>find&open app named "system ui ">tap on storage>clear cache>done.
Do the same for app named "android system" and" Xperia home" check if issue still persists,after that install a free app named"AVG cleaner for Xperia"specially designed for Sony phones and clear cache with it.
I own a xa1plus and this fixed my problems.hope this works for other Sony devices also.
