I tried running the update that came through on the phone last night and when it it roughly the halfway mark the phone shut itself off. It was on charge at the time and had roughly 40% battery when I started the update. Now the phone won't turn itself on normally and doing a force restart (hold volume up + power button) just loads up the update and turns itself off again straight away.
I've tried using the Companion but it can't locate my phone at all even when holding the volume down and reconnecting on the repair function. I've tried it with two cables, in a bunch of different usb ports including ones normally reserved for other devices which I know work and while the phone shows that it's charging the PC doesn't recognize the device at all.
Is there anything else I can do that doesn't involve me tearing the phone apart or is this a full repair job?
