Not giving data transfer option on PC

when i wanna transfer data from my computer to my xa by USB it doesn't work ..it give just charger option  ....so what

Hi @miilano and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear this. I recommend that you try to connect your device to a different USB port on your computer, also try a different USB cable if possible.

If there is no change I would recommend that you try connecting your device to a different computer to see if it behaves the same way.

You can also try to force your device in to file transfer mode (MTP). To do so:

• Enable developer options by going to: Settings > About phone > Tap build number 7 times.
• Go to: Settings > Developer options; Activate USB debugging and change Select USB configuration to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)
• Plug your device in to your computer, it should now select MTP mode by itself.

Hi, 

On my Xperia X, it's not giving me the option to select USB mode MTP. I've used developer mode, restarted my phone, tried other pc via USB. It's the phone and guess I've selected charge mode only and ticked always use this option? Trying to fix without having to factory reset my phone.
