No way to wake up other than power button?

Hello,  

As I searched there is no way to wake up by double tap on screen and I need to press power button each time.  The thing is power button is a little button which may be damaged by time (unlike home button on Samsung S3 etc.)  so I wonder if there is no other way to wake up my Xperia XA?  I found an app on play store which works with sensor so when I open the cover of phone screen turns on but I feared this might drain battery or maybe sensor would be damaged by time as it will be on all time?

You can use the camera button to wake up phone if you don't want to use power button.

Thanks but camera button looks even more fragile than power button

Trust me, they are not! Never had any problem with either buttons on any Sony phone.
