I like to shoot YouTube videos on my phone, and on my old phone, I used an external lavalier mic for clarity. It connected with a 3.5mm jack and worked very well. Now, I got this phone because it has a very nice camera, but it won't access my microphone. I read the the order of the leads in the 3.5mm socket are different, but I can work around that by getting a USB-C male to 3.5mm female adapter, but that does not work either. I just bought another new microphone, and it also doesn't work, with the adapter or without. How can I get my mic working?
