Manually network selection on the second SIM doesn't persist after reboot

Hi,

after rebooting the phone the manually network selection  on the second SIM will goes to automaticaly.

Consequently when the network is unable it will goes roaming!

This happens only with the second SIM.

any suggestions

have you tried booting up in safe mode? to see if still happens?

is the simcard bought locally?

what happens when you switch bought sim cards?

in  safe mode is exactly the same

if I switch the SIMs, is till the SIM2 going in Auto-mode.

All SIM are localy bought.

Leaving on border is usual to bought two SIMs and avoid the roaming setting the network manualy, im my case;

- SIM1: Sunrise (Switzerland)

- SIM2: TIM (Italy)

Otherwise will goes roaming and you have to pay for international traffic.

As I say switching the SIMS the problem persist on the second SIM, then the problem should be the Phone or the OS (Android).

Some weeks ago I make the error purchaisung  XPERIA XA (dual SIM) Phone.

The advertising is very aggressive and say (From Sony Web site):

The phone that won’t let you down Do more with up to 2 days* of battery life

This is absolutly not TRUE!  The battery is not in off for a full working day.

I purchased a dual SIM Phone because I'm living on border, and I want to avoid roaming costs.

The second SIM Slot of the SONY will goes automaticaly to automatic network!

Two weeks ago I writted a post about this issue (http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-XA-XA-Ultra/Manually-network-selection-on-the-second-SIM-doesn-...).

And I writted to the local support.

The support tell me to ask the provider to avoid roaming! I want to be able to set up my phone as I want and not to modify the provider setting (once you change this, you can't roaming in case of emergency!!)

The PHONE IS 0 (ZERO)

THE SUPPORT value is absolutely NEGATIVE.

So I want to warn future user to NOT puchnase SONY XPERA XA Phones.

And the Support dont answer to customer questions!

Are the SIM cards that you use pre-paid or post-paid ones?

Dosen't mater.

I have 2 SIM:

1: Switzerland: not prepay

2: Italy: prepay.

if I insert one of the two SIM in the second slot of this phone (sorry of that!), then it will goes to auto.

I set to manual, reboot: will be auto again!!

THIS IS A BUG; YOU HAVE TO REPORT THIS AS BUG 

Like the other problems:

Memory problem

and Battery Problem

This is a unusable phone, you have to stay all the day on power!

And you don't have to use to mutch apps, because there is no memory!!!

I'm realy planing to chenge the phone again
