Issues With Battery

Hello,

I've been having issues with my Xperia XA1, which I purchased last month. The base of the issue is that it will shut down, give me the "plug in" symbol with a red battery, but once plugged in it shows the battery around 97%.

I had no issues with it until yesterday, where after charging it during a lengthy phone call, I went out. It died on me, so I figured maybe the battery percentage was being miswritten, therefore I went and charged it when I got back home. It turned on again and it would be fine while charging, but if I unplugged it for a minute or so it would do the same thing again.

I charged it over night, hoping this may fix it, but to no avail. This morning I did a factory reset within the phone, which didn't work, then after a bit of research I found the software repair that is on Sony's website. This also didn't work. And now it will shut down even if plugged in, on occasion.

Any help with this will be extremely appreciated because I can't find answers online.

If this information is relevant, I bought this phone a month ago on Amazon.

Thank you!

EDIT:

I found someone else with this issue where they were told to try removing SIM and SD card. I tried removing my SIM (Don't have an SD card), and it didn't work.

Translation via Google Translate:

Have you decided on your problem already? I have the same situation. And to solve the problem, too, not mlgum. What to do!?

The phone is new! Disconnects itself! And until you put on charging it does not turn on !!! And that's almost when fully charged !!

Вы свою проблему решили уже? У мене такая же ситуация. А решить проблему тоже не млгум. Что делать!?

Телефон новый!  Отключается сам! И пока не поставишь на зарядку он не включиться !!! И это почти при полном заряде!!
