Is it necessary to replace battery in order to replace the Display?

Hi all,

I recently gave my phone (Sont Xperia XA Ultra) to the nearby Authorized Sony Service centre due to display issues. They told me the display has to be replaced and i was like fine with it. later they called me n told that along with the display the battery should also be replaced (even if the battery is good and in fact, it is working fine) and it's mandatory. that did not make any sense. Is it really necessary to replace the battery along with the display? Some one please enlighten me on this

Yeah, it's common to replace batteries with displays, even if as you say, it's good.

Reason mainly is that the battery is stuck to the back of the mid frame which the display sits on, so in removing the battery it can get bent or warped and it's not safe to put same battery back in the phone.
