I cannot share contacts as text message (SMS)

Hello there. I brought a Xperia XA1 phone before 1 week. I tried to share a contact to another person as a plain text message. but it was not send. tried with another sms apps. same thing happend. please help me. Thank you

If I'm not mistaken sharing a contacts goes as an MMS not SMS, does your phone has data (not WiFi)?

I agree with @uliwooly. If you send a plain text message, it will be only text: no pictures, no contacts, etc. So you’ll have to copy to the clipboard the info you want to share and paste it into te text message. Either that or use a different messaging system as MMS, WhatsApp, email, etc., where you can attatch other files.

Thank you for reply. But I had Sony Xperia XA dual. in that phone when I share a contact via SMS app it asks for 2 options. as aplain text message or as a bussines card. when I select as a plain text it send as a sms. In this sony Xperia XA1 also ask that those 2 options when share via sms app. Aftet hiting send it shows as sent. BUt no one it recieved and after checking my conversaion with that perticular person that message it still showinng as sending. but cannot send. When share with other apps like whatssapp. Viber and G mail. they works

I'm sorry, I didn't know the plain text option when sharing contacts, and indeed when I try to share a contact using the default messaging app, it shows as a MMS as @uliwooly said, so I would say that option is not present anymore. Maybe it is in another third party SMS app, or you can use one of the other options...
