The nuisance screen I am talking about is the initial notifications screen that pops up immediately after using the power button to wake up the phone... the screen with the clock at the top and the "voice search / unlock / camera" icons at the bottom.
In an ideal world, I would just go back to KitKat: when you could turn on the phone with the hardware keys, and it went STRAIGHT to the pin or pattern lock... NO faulty swipe-up, NO camera or voice search, NO notifications...
I have disabled lockscreen notifications, I have disabled quicklaunch in the camera settings, but I have not found a way to remove this "swipe before you can unlock" nuisance screen. I don't need it, and I don't want it... and to top it off, the developers at SONY have created a faulty "swipe up" logic that repeatedly fails when I SWIPE UP... so how do I remove the nuisance screen entirely?
Don't give me some answer like .. "just disable ur security altogether"... I currently use a pattern lock, and I will to continue to use a pattern lock. I shouldn't have to sacrifice security to get around a nuisance screen.
I just want to see a checkbox in the settings somewhere that says "disable initial pre-unlock nuisance/notifications screen"... Is that so much to ask?
I've read your "report" and also edited your post.
@najodleglejszy is correct, but don't worry, you can use a third party lock screen app, there are myriad options at the PlayStore, embrace android.
