Ghost touch

been 2 weeks now and am having that chost touch issue on phone...it happens randomly but when i lock the screen and open it again it works fine...is that software related ? or hardware ?

Anxious to see if you get any feedback on this. I'm having the same issue - it's been going on longer for me, but it's gotten particularly bad in last few weeks. Sometimes screen lock/unlock still doesn't do the trick. Particularly frustrating when I'm trying to enter my 4 digit pin to unlock and random numbers are popping up.

This suddenly happened on me too.

it keeps pressing random text and even sends to feedback on chrome and facebook with screen shots. Its bad... any possible fix for this?

Ghost clicking - the same issue is with my Xperia XZ1. It started about a month ago (2 months after purchasing) when it was only triggered when  I was in a call, so it was putting me on hold while I was talking, and entering (very quickly) random numbers from call options. so, basically, clicking anywhere on the screen. Recently (mid May 2019) it got worse as it can be completely unusable because as soon as the screen is on - it clicks anywhere on the screen randomly, opening apps, typing emails.. so bad.

Sony is drugging its feet, not much of a will is there to help with this issue, which seems to be affecting many xperia phones. 

did anyone get this resolved by Sony?

they suggested me to repair the phone.
