Hello
We did a back up on our Xperia before an repair with Xperia Companion.
We want to make the restore now. But somehow / someway I have forgot the password on the back up file :-(.
Is there a way to make an override, so we can make restore anyway??
Regards
Gerth
Hi @GerthV
Welcome to the community!
I'm afraid not. If you have forgotten the password to a back up you have created there will be no way to override the password to access and restore that back up file.
Essentially the password is to protect your data and content so without that you will unfortunately be unable to access it
I have the same problem
I am try to guess it, what are the requirements for the password ?? eg. a minimum or maximum of characters, uppercase, numbers, simbols
None of us have a password, but Sony has us believing we all forgot our passwords....
There is a problem here, we need help.
As for the rest of you guys, did it also happen after a factory reset?
Hi I have the same problem I do not recall at all making any passwords for my backups apart from the one I just made, so something very strange is going on and SONY NEED TO SORT IT ASAP, so please can you guys in support help us out here you have the power to override anything with been such a high technology company this us a doddle for you. I also have a loyal Sony customer for donkeys years from in days when it was Sony Ericsson this is all so very annoying
