I have a question about the fingerprint sensor on the XA1 PLUS. It seems the fingerprint sensor on the US version will not be functional, but since I assume the hardware is there, will there be a hack to make it work?

I'd not call it hack, but you can simply flash another firmware (not a US one, obviously). You can find various methods on flashing on other forums like XDA-developers.
