Display issue- Weird linings and blurr

I am facing this issue from last 15 days and have submitted the handset in sony centre. It is clearly hardware issue, I dont want my handset to be opened and repaired due to a fault that is from Sony's end. Customer care also has a pathetic approach for my request to replace the handset itself. Totally dissatisfied. ada7cd6d-c06e-4de4-add3-1d1393e54d95.jpg110216d2-cce4-4e5d-83b6-095fc0d776f0.jpg780df51c-6db2-4476-a68a-5c1268f81327.jpg

I have received the handset from service center after screen replacement. But whole point is this is no more a brand new product, it is now a refurbished one. The question of poor/faulty screens should be addressed by Sony through replacement and not by repairs. Even the customer care did not seem to bother after so many mails. None of them were escalated. Overall experience is pathetic and was not expected from Sony.

If it was brand new, why not contact seller for replacement?

How long did you have it before this issue.?

I bought it from Amazon and I had it just a month ago. Anyway Sony has to take responsibility for the hardware issue and should take decision for replacement.

Why on earth choose the hard option?

Sony DID take responsibility, that's why they fixed it.

Amazon's policy would be refund or exchange.. No question.

Why would you choose to send for repair if amazon's policy is better for what you wanted?

Ok let me make this simple for you to understand :

1. Amazon gives replacement only within a week of delivery.  For problems post that period they suggest to contact Sony.

2. If you need I can share the transcripts of the communication on Sony livechat where your customer care executive has clearly stated that its a hardware issue and i need to visit the service centre for rectification . Also note that all the details about my purchase were informed to the executive in the same communication.

I have used all means of communication to get to a reasonable solution, the only thing I received is a refurbished mobile for which I had to pay the cost of a brand new product.

Why did you pay for a warranty repair?

And was your phone repaired or replaced?

Edit to say:

As with any customer or service, if you are not happy with the repair or replacement carried out, there is only assistance and advice on the community, any direct complaints or discussion regarding your own personal case, needs to be with your Local support

It was repaired without any cost. Now don't stress on the term 'free repair' as a goodwill from Sony. And thanks for sharing your limitations, I thought forum will be of some help with escalating this issue.

Let me summarize this-

1. I bought a model that is installed with a faulty hardware

2. Issue arises (thank heavens,  it was within the warranty period) and after 20 days of waiting, local service centre repairs the same.

3. Now it is a refurbished model which was bought few months back at a price of the new one

After every mode of communication I opt,  I regret to have started the conversation at first place. As there is no one in customer support to escalate or at least logically handle the issue.
