Can not answer a call id not appearing blank screen but rings

My phone rings but screen remains blank,no option to answer I have to checked missed call history to see who it was they are in my phone contacts, any ideas, I have checked settings to allow access to phone contacts???

therers no dust on the sensors or have any other launcher, have try a reset?
