Hi I have a problem with my XA1. A battery is discharging so quick. My phone been charged over night up to 100%. After unplug charging cable in the morning procentagr of battery drops up to 85% within 10minutes. After next 10 minutes drop to 53% then next 30 seconds drops to 0% and phone goes off. I have been reset phone to factory settings but it doesn't help.
A problem start on 2nd February. My phone has been working normally in the morning but after some time I need make a call and phone show warning with low battery and goes off . While charger is connected and is recognized by phone power go up very slow. In my opinion it loks like software problem. Fully charged battery is discharged within 15 minutes. Please help me resolve a problem.

I have suddenly started to have this exact same problem on xperia xa1, it will now not retain charge for more than minutes on standby, or seconds if in use, even after 100% charge, thus rendering the phone useless. Its out of guarantee (12 months) but still within contract (2 years), OBVS.
Been trying to contact Sony support for a price to fit a new battery but they refuse to quote?
I am not happy to pay £23 to even get them to quote which seems to be the only way to get them to quote for a new battery?
Would Sony have a comment on this?

Anyway, problem: Battery is shot.
Need a new battery. Cannot get Sony to quote for a new battery to be fitted. I dont need a an inspection, especially not one charged at £23. I want to know how much Sony charge to fit a new one. This information seems to be elusive.
Anyone from Sony to comment (or even help?) please?
I have been contacted with support and followed instructions but without results. After all procedure battery been discharged a same. I send my phone to SONY and I am waiting for contact from service. My phone is under warranty up to june 2019 so fingers cross they do not charge me for repair.

@777lll, sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same behaviour.
In some markets the warranty is valid for 12 months, but as far as I know, in all European countries, the warranty is valid for 24 months. In which country are you located?
Regarding the cost for a repair/spare part, this is not something that we can answer here at our Global user based forum as the cost for a repair will vary between markets/regions and the routines varies between them as well.
Just to make sure if you warranty is valid or not, please double check this with your Local support team.

I've got the same problem. I changed the battery. Problem still exists. I think the phone is dead. I think I'll have to buy a new one.
Hi everyone. I've just received my XA1 from repair. All working fine now. They replaced main board and battery stick tape.

You can always send the device in to an authorized service centre to have it examined and the Local support team in your market will assist you further and answer any questions you may have regarding the repair.
