Good evening,
I have had this phone for less than a month and am frankly so fed up with it I am considering sending it back.
I have terrible trouble connecting to WiFi and on the rare occasion I do manage to connect, the connection drops within a few minutes (though still shows a full WiFi icon in the top of the screen). I am also noticing very poor signal from my carrier (3) and have even been having Bluetooth trouble with my Fitbit. In short, every bit of this phone which involves connecting to anything else is not fit for purpose and doesn't work.
To head off any well-meaning responses of "it's a problem with your router/network/Fitbit" - it absolute isn't. All the WiFi networks I use work fine for anyone but me, there are no network/carrier issues in my area and I have never had problems syncing my Fitbit before. The only thing that has changed in all these scenarios is my phone.
Please let me know if there is any way to resolve this, or I will be sending my phone back and spending the money on something that works.
Hi @AWaymont, welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear about this.
Try the troubleshooting steps from here:

If you are still experiencing the issue then I recommend you contact your retailer or Local support team to arrange a repair assessment.
Hi, thanks for both replying.
I ran the WiFi test in both regular and safe mode and it said the test passed both times, but I still have problems with the WiFi and signal.
I also went through the troublshooting steps in the two links provided. My SIM works fine in another phone (full signal) and my carrier has confirmed that I am in a good coverage area.
I have also confirmed my WiFi sleep setting is on "Always keep on" and there are no problems with the router or WiFi coverage because they work with my other phone also.
If you have completed all the troubleshooting then I recommend you contact your Local support team to arrange an assessment.
I've noticed the same issue. I've had the XA1 a out 2 weeks and as I have changed Network I thought it just needed to settle down. But it hasn't.
The WiFi disconnects frequently (I have 320Mbps with Virgin and my phone is with them also) all other devices in the house whether iPhone or laptop have stable WiFi connections. Even my old S5 in the drawer has a stable connection.
I have performed Diagnostics but nothing came up.
It's disappointing really coz I cam back to Sony mobile after Samsung, have a lot of other Sony products such h as consoles, TVs and cameras but this phone is poor and laggy despite the massive software allocation. I wish I had taken a bit more time to consider my options. Maybe gone with the S8 afterall
What's also frustrating is the fiddly keyboard that misses letters and keeps forcing word substitutions

if you don't like the preinstalled keyboard, you can get another one from Play Store. personally, I use Gboard and quite like it, but there are many other choices available.
