When you toggle alarm on and off, the symbol disappears? If does not, think it's another bug. More adding up... Anyhow, you could always disable the alarm symbol from showing on the status bar by going to: System-Display-System icons. Uncheck "Alarm". Hopefully future updated will fix this bug and others.
