Hi, having problems with my Xperia X, its just over a year old but has all of a sudden started draining the battery from a full charge in about 6hrs!!!! It also gets hot, i've done a system repair with the sony software but the problem is still the same. Could it just be the battery is faulty?
It could be that your smartphone is overheating due to the way in which Wi-Fi is being overused. Android users in particular are susceptible to apps running in the background and drawing on resources, such as CPU and Wi-Fi or mobile Internet. If apps are allowed to run in this way, things can heat up.
Open settings-> tap magnification glass-> type consuming-> find consuming apps
Open settings->tap battery-> scroll down and tap Advanced
See if you can find anything
Hi @peerieivan, sorry to hear about this.
Did you restore any backup or installed all the applications that you are using after the software repair was completed, or did you use the device without restoring anything and you still experienced the same behaviour?
Why I'm asking this is because one or more of your installed applications could be the cause of this and if you installed it again after the software repair, you could experience the same behaviour.
Follow the great steps that @Strampke provided and you can also get back to us with a screenshot of the advanced menu in the battery settings and we can check if there is something that is not correct.
To take a screenshot, hold down the power button and tap on "Take screenshot".
Let us know how it goes!
Hi, thanks for the reply, I've installed very few apps after I did the restore, only the very few I really need, charged it last night and its flat again this morning, heres a screenshot of the battery usage,
