USB OTG Issues

Hi,

I am facing issues with USB OTG (On The Go) drive which can be directly connected to phone in the USB port (charger port).

When connected, it does not show up in the default explorer on Xperia X. Also tried "File Commander", it is the same. And I cannot copy/move anything to/fro USB OTG.

I cannot install Xperia Companion as USB is restricted in the laptop.

If I use a 3rd party explorer (ES Explorer) then I can see the USB. But I still cannot copy/move anything to and fro.

Please help.

what if you install a file commander instead?

It is same behaviour with File Commander as the default explorer. USB OTG does not show up.

My xperia X has no support to OTG, is there any problem or just sony is not giving OTG support to this phone now??

Your Xperia X does have OTG

I guess you're problem is hardware related.
