Sony Xperia X won't turn on

I've just bought the Sony Xperia X tried turning it on but nothing happend I put it on charge and the red light where the speaker is keeps contantly flashing as well as the screen with the battery icon it's on charge for about 4-5 hours and it's still flashing any suggestions on how to fix this and what the problem actually is

Read the userguide.

First stop is a force restart and a force stop.

If that doesn'work try a software repair.

If the device isn't recognised by Xperia Companion then goto FAQ search software repair and pay attention to the second post 2B.

If all attempts are unsuccessful then it's time to take up contact with Xperia Support.
