Phone randomly refreshes screen

After the most recent update I have noticed the phone will randomly refresh the page. This occurs when browsing Web pages, using apps and even for some off line apps. Example, I'll be browsing my Facebook feed and after a minute or so it will refresh and take me back to top of the page. If I have the keyboard open typing in another app it will take me back to the top and keyboard disappears. There's no constant time interval it seems random.

Hi @Amber7, welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear you're having trouble after your update.

Does this only happen with third party apps or is it built in ones too?

Did you update all your apps after you completed the update?

Do you have the same issue while the phone is in safe mode?

@Amber7 that could be an issue with Chrome but I am sure that the issue is related to websites that do an extensive use of Angular/Javascript/Ajax.. like Facebook.

Facebook pages may refresh by themself if their own system send the signal to refresh the page. If you then some times see that page refresh while you switch from app to app then the problem is that your phone is running low in memory - this means you have too many apps running, in fact if your keyboard crash that is an immediate alarm of low available RAM.

Try in safe mode, if it works better please perform a software repair using Xperia Companion but then pay attention to all the app you install. One of them may be not totally compatible with the latest software update or just a bad app that keep staying running in the background and consuming all the available ram.

I have the same exact issue with my xa1 plus I bought last November. I'm experiencing such issue when I'm using mobile internet. It refreshes randomly when browsing fb, chrome, YouTube, or whatever apps using internet. But my phone works perfectly in wifi. What's the problem? I noticed it after the latest security patch installed.
