Obtaining IP address problem

Hi, I'm unsure whether this is a mobile or Internet issue. However I'm the only one in the house having this problem on a mobile device. Whenever I return from being out the Wi-Fi will not connect to my mobile phone. Instead it constantly shows obtaining IP address. The only way to fix it is to reset the router. Is there a reason for this or any permanent fix?

I have a Sony Xperia XA which has had “obtaining ip address “ “connected no internet” or “disconnected “ for a week. I have restarted hub. I have restarted phone wiping all and starting fresh as it asked. Soon as I get to the set up to connect to my WiFi, obtaining IP address constant message or ip address unavailable. So now I’m stuck on the getting started page. All other devices in household get WiFi fine no issues ! Please help !

Here is the WiFi problem  check list.

I am pretty shure you checked everything.

Anyway, follow that guide top-down once again and report back please what happened.

And once again reset Network settings.

Just in case.

After a factory reset did you restore all apps?

Try it with a clean machine to be shure that there is no app interfering.
