I think the issue is common across many Xperia models? I recently bought XA1 and it has the same issue! There the phone dialler is more stock dialler with 3 tabs (Favourites, Call log and contacts). The middle one i.e. the call log tab scrolling so slow that it is annoying :(. If it's such a common issue across mobile models, Sony should fix this on priority...
Same problem with my X dual, Sony service Centre people have no clue to solve the problem,
I found one to get past this issue. I installed the stock nougat dialer from apkmirror and it's fantastic. No lag and absolutely smooth. I hate it when companies like Sony theme the original Android software and they don't do a good job of that
This issue is still there. How can Sony representative marked this thread as solved? Even after recent update, the issue is there
that's typically what SONY mobile does when dealing with bug reports...
I have Z5p and the call log is very laggy after android 7.0 update...even my friend's XZ does lag heavily when using call logs!
I'm just curios how a 8-core smartphone!!! can't do what it is designed to do at first place...
We have already tried flashing, repairing and etc, this annoying lag is still there!

Hi regarding call history and message lagging.First and formorst i am really disappointed with sony maintenance service and new updates.I recently updated my phone and noticed that my call history was lagging and save contacts names was not showing.I tried everything to resolve the problem and unfortunately sony forum were no help at all.Luckily i found a solution i just downloaded an after market app called dialer and that resolved all the problems.The call history is working very smoothly.Really disappointed with sony maintenance team, if a private individual can solve a problem why cant a multi billionare company?
