behaves with an error message since downloading WMPlayer11:

I think you have probably guessed the answer!

WMP11 is totally incompatible with all Roxio/Sonic products before Easy Media Creator v9.0. Patches for earlier versions are unlikely. Microsoft just refer you to Roxio so there is no patch likely from the Windows end.

Your Roxio Digitalmedia SE is an OEM product produced for Sony any patches/updates will only come from Sony and you know what chance there is of that.

You can either uninstall WMP11 and reinstall WMP10 or you can completely uninstall all Roxio/Sonic products including Registry entries and directories that the Uninstaller leaves behind.

Not so lucky of late, after giving my orig VAIO to Sis-Inlaw and got this off hubydubby, also purchased a new highend laplap which D died after 10 days (won't mention....no can not mention the model but got the monies back)and now my trusty VAIO has more dudydudu softy on it! Ok will raid the backup disks from my previous VAIO "miouw" as that was compatible.....oh shush I shuna have said that should I..... :kissing:

Thanks so much for your time Blencogo! :rose:

Now have a fix here:[http://www.sonicjapan.co.jp/oem/sonyvaio/vaioupdate3_enu.html | http://www.sonicjapan.co.jp/oem/sonyvaio/vaioupdate3_enu.html]

It works fine now!

Great, that might help a lot - I also have this mediahub.exe problem. I was just about to deinstall wmp 11. Now I am downloading the updater. However, the download is really slow... Why does not Sony provide the update via VAIO update?

Vaiowoman: great link, but slowwwwww: takes me 30 minutes to dl.

best, Bugge

  It took quite a lot of digging to get that update and had to trawl the net and send many emails to get it! Apparantly this is the official place to get this download which I got after many hours of precious personal time on the net searching, but I am like a dog with a lost bone when searching for something "I keeps a grrrRRRR'ing and digging till I gets it!" I'm pretty sure it will solve your problem and since - have no negatives to report!

However the download for me... took very little time!.... Sorry...Hard luck for you it seems! But hey 30mins is better than having to scrap software and having to buy new which could present endless more glitches.
