Please can someone help... when i first got my laptop i found how to access my wireless adapter information. eg my router address is 192.168.0.1, i can not find the address to which i can view the info. and i also want to turn the wireless down to save on battery. i have the VGN-N11M
thank you
Hi ycwkpp898 and welcome to Club Vaio.
Open Internet Explorer and type
http://192.168.0.1
into the address bar - or click on this link if IE is your default browser. You will probably have a Username and Password to enter.

That brings up my router... 192.168.0.1 i have been on the wireless adapter i just carnt remember wat it is...
god i wish i wrote things down.
Have you tried:
Start -> Run and type in
CMD (and Enter)
then
IPCONFIG /all (and Enter)

The other way to get the wireless configuration is : -
Start -> Right-click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager
Expand the "Network Adapters" by clicking on the little cross to the left.
Double-click on your wireless adapter and you should get the configuration windows open.

when i do that i get 194.168.4.100 and 192.168.0.119 both of these dont bring up the wireless adapter...
i am gratefull for the help.
i just want to turn my signal strength down as i can go 3 houses away and still get a signal. i know how to do it on my router just not the adapter...
I'm not sure it's possible but have a look in Device Manager and look in the tabs for 'Advanced' and 'Power Management'.

thanks for ya help. i will try and find it. if i do will will post it on here...
