Hi all ,
I got a Vaio VGN Fe31H almost a 5 months . I'am very happy with this amazing machine,
but now i have a litle problem with the windows Hour.
I made 2 twices , a system recuperation , but didn´t resolved the problem.
When I turn On the Vaio , the hour is not syncronized with the real hour...
Friends mine told me that maybe the CMOS Battery that could be causing this problem... :S
My question is , how can i make the windows sincronize the real hour, my zone is GMT and i have the Windows Media Center Edition.
Thanks for the help .
PS: Sorry , my english is not the best ...
Hi onurb_slb
Welcome to Club Vaio..
Have you checked that your Vaio is set to GMT..
You can do this by Double clicking the time indicator in the system tray (lower-right corner of the task bar, then click the Time Zone tab. Choose your (GMT) Greenwich Mean Time, then check the box next "Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes." Click OK and you're done.
Hi Thalamus ,
Yes , it was the first thing i do when this problem beguined...
I always did a system recuperation , but didn´t resolve the problem...
Could not be the BIOS ? Where i can get an update for it? In Vaio Link , i dont see any Updates for BIOS ... :S
Thks for any help .

Hi onurb_slb,
Have you checked the time in the BIOS whilst there reset your BIOS to the default settings..?
To enter the BIOS press F2 repeatedly, when you see the Sony logo, on starting your Vaio.
Then Press F9 to restore the default BIOS values , press Enter to confirm, then F10 to save and Exit and Enter to confirm again..
If the times still wrong then I guess the advice your friend gave regarding the CMOS battery could well be correct..
Think your friends might be right, the battery might need changing.
Hi again ,
Well , the solution that the friend Thalamus said , for now is working right...
I have restart the pc somethimes and the hour is still right...
So , thank you all for the helps !
Cumpliments for all
VAIO RULES !
Glad I could help onurb_slb..
