Hey,
I've just turned on my AR11B this morning to be presented with a message from AVG saying that My Club was infected with a Trojan ( Trjan Horse SHeur.AFJ ) now I did a full scan with AVG and it found another 2 infections with the Trojan - myclubvaio.exe, update.exe (Clubvaio) & update.exe (again clubvaio).
Now I've tried to have a look on the net for info on this trojan and I can't find anything about it except one other person with the same sort of infection that avg has but I dont think he's got a vaio.
The problem is My Club Vaio has now stopped working. So now I'm a little puzzled at what to do with getting my notebook back to normal lol.
Any help would be grateful.
Cheers
Hi highroyds,
It seems one of the filenames used by ClubVAIO is the same as a filename used by this Trojan. This will be fixed in the next version.
Meanwhile you will need to tell AVG that this file is OK. I guess AVG has quarantined the file and you will have to go to the quarantine area and tell it the file is OK and add it to your allowed list.
It is a known issue with AVG, Avast and Sophos and also may happen with other AntiVirus engines.
See the reply by Nico - assuring everyone that this is not a Virus!!!!!

Cheers for that, it did put all the files in the virus vault but now I cant access them it states they are still infected and I havent got the right permission.
I've sent all the files that my AVG detected as virus infected, but I've just uninstalled AVG then reinstalled it and tested the files again, and surprise surprise its now CLEAN.

Did you send them to AVG?
Did you send them to AVG?
That's a good idea, then they can try and write these files out of the associations with the trojan.
