I don't think the FS Series of laptops have a TV tuner. The optional docking station doesn't have one either. Only the docking station supplied with the FS215Z has one.

I don't think Vaio Media will work with an external TV card.

it has the tv built in to the laptop and you can watch and record hd onto the hdd but vaio media says it carnt connect to he server
the base fron vaio has the tv connections on the stand but it costs well over £100

I am confused. Have you given us the correct Vaio model?

Apart from the VGN-AR11 Series, I didn't think ANY current Vaio laptop had a built in TV tuner in the laptop itself - they all rely on a tuner in the seperate Docking Station or a non-Sony USB external tuner.

Hi littlebucko,

I have to agree with Blencogo, I do not think the FS315M has onboard TV , the manual states on page 38, 'If an A / V port replicator is delivered with the model you purchased, your computer is equiped with a TV tuner, see page 38 of the manual for further information, also here are the specs for your model....:smileyconfused:

tvtv is just an online program scheduler - you need a seperate TV tuner for it to work.

It is a bit misleading as you would think it downloads the programs but all it really does is set a schedule for your TV card to record via an ariel.

tvtv is a bit of a waste of money.
