Vaio vgn-fe31m hidden partition problem

Hi all, I've got my vaio about week ago with windows mce. It's alright but I wanted to create recovery kit with vaio recovery utility and then came a problem. Vaio utility gives me a dialog box:

"Cannot start VAIO Recovery utility becouse the recovery partiotion has been deleted.

You need to use the Recovery Media Kit to recover your computer or restore the recovery partition.
For details, refer to the instruction manual."

I would like to use my recovery kit but I didn't have chance to do it

Can I restore the partiotion? How?

In Partition Manager 8 Pro from paragon I see hidden partition so it isn't deleted

Hi Dawido85 and welcome to the forum.

Have you by any chance installed Norton GoBack? If so you will need to temporarily uninstall this in order to create your recovery media.

Hi Dawido85

Try the following

Start or restart your VAIO.
When you see the Sony logo, press F2 repeatedly to enter the BIOS.
Press F9 to restore the default values.
When asked to confirm, press ENTER.
Press F10 to save the configuration and exit the BIOS.
When asked to confirm, press ENTER again.

After re-starting, Click Start, All Programs, VAIO Recovery TOOL, VAIO Recovery Utility....

Hi Dawido85,

I have escalated this to Vaio-Link as none of the usual solutions work in your case…
