USB 2.0 on VAIO GRT916Z

Hi!
When I connect my USB 2.0 Hub to either one of my notebook's USB Ports, Windows XP (SP2) tells me that I should connect the hub to a high-speed USB 2.0 port instead, to archive better results.
Aren't all 3 USB Ports on my VAIO USB 2.0 Ports???
Do I need to install a certain driver?
Greetings from Germany!

I thought they were.
Have you tried the other ports?

I am more than positive that the GRT916Z has USB2 ports. Can you try another hub?

Yes, I have tried the other ports. Now, I will get a different hub and try that. (My Vaio doesn't detect the hub tonight, but when I connect other devices to the USB Ports they are detected flawlessly. So I guess the troublemaker must be the hub.)
Thank you for your reply!

That's what I will do ASAP. Right now I also believe the troublemaker must be the (cheap, I have to admit) hub. I will get a new one and try that.

Many thanks for your reply, at least I have somebody telling me that he is absolutetly sure about my Vaio having USB 2.0

Make sure you get a powered USB Hub.

Hi!
The problem has been solved...
My brother has a desktop computer with an intel motherboard that has has an intel USB controller, and the device manager shows the same stuff I have in my vaio, ONE Enhanced-Host-Controller and some other "intel-called" universal host controllers (SiS calls them Open-HOst controller)...
So the config in my Vaio appears to be normal.
Plus, I got a USB-MemoryStick that supports USB 2.0, and I put a large file on it to check the speed: Must be USB 2.0.
So I supposed my Vaio is fine...
Will get a new hub soon...
By the way: I put the extra power supply on the hub, made no difference

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! I'm relieved everything is okay.
