I have here a PCG-K315B Vaio notebook and it will not accept any pcmcia card.
The first one i tryed was a US Robotics 5410 and the notebook did not respond or recognised it.
The second card i tryed was also a US Robotics but type 5411A with same result.
I placed a post at e-care and i received a post where was asked if the cards was type 1,2 or 3.
I went to my sister and placed here card in the port and the notebook did see this card.
The card is a Siemens Santis Wlan pc card 802.11b.
So i installed the software first and when asked, i but in the card.
The only thing that happend was, that the notebook recognised the card as new hardware but did nothing else with it.Normaly the notebook must proceed with the installation but in this case it does not work.
To make sure the card works fine, i installed it on a Toshiba Satelite Pro 4600 and it worked fine there.
In my last attempt to make it work i reinstalled the notebook with only the operating system, an AVG scanner and al the updates of Windows.
But my work seems useless because the card is still not working.
Is here someone who had this problem before or someone who has an idea how it can be solved?
