Problem Ejecting CD Drive

hello I have had my Vaio VGN-AR21M for one week now and I have a problem, When I press the button to eject the CD/DVD Drive I get the following error message "Cannot open the tray of the optical drive, Please try again to eject the tray after close the all using softwares or after shutdown the system and then start the windows" well I have restarted the system and still have the problem, But if I go into my computer and right click on the drive and choose eject it ejects with no problem :S Any ideas?

Reinstall the Sony Utilities

Am I being dumb But how do I do that? I take it theres a program on the laptop I have to run as it came with no cd's Thanks

Hi matthewhotdude

Download the Preinstalled Utilities for your AR21S from Vaio-Link, once downloaded extract and then install the following, in order.

1 Sony Utilities
2 Sony Shared Library
3 Vaio Event Service
4 Setting Utility Series

Once completed then re-boot your vaio.

You may have to do this more than once..:smileywink:
