Hello,
I attached a new Sony camera (DSC-HX9V) to my laptop (via USB) and since I removed the USB the following problem is recurrent:
Cannot connect any device to the USB port with the following error:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
To try to rectify this problem the following actions have been taken:
Uninstall Unknown Device
Uninstall Camera + drivers
Re-boot
System Restore
This has not fixed the issue.
This problem occurs when ANY device is attached. A memory stick works fine.
After searching forums, the advice I found was to re-install Sony Firmware Extension Parser driver.
Now, I cannot find this driver. Can anyone help me find the driver and/or recommend any other actions I can take to rectify the situation?
VGN-FW31E (windows 64 ultimate)
Thank you.
If you go to the Support Pages for your model here: -
http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-FW31E/updates
Click on Preinstalled Drivers and Utilitiies (Vista) and you will find the SFEP Driver listed (6 from the top). You will need to install this from within Device Manager using the 'Have Disc' method.
