Package Utilities

Good morning to you

It seems that I should download for Windows XP Home / Package / Utilities / Version (?) / Size 11796 kb / (4/21/2004)

....all for VAIO PCG-FR315S.

I am missing an "INFO" (compared with the other Updates). Who can me inform about the sense of this VAIO-Download? Is the download important and / or necessary? Does it make sense?

The package utilities are the original installed drivers so they are only needed for a clean install.

So you are right you do not need them.
