The Installation Guide suggests that you plug the Access Point (A320) into the Ethernet port on your computer. If you do,then you are unable to plug in the Ethernet cable from your ADSL Router . So you are unable to connect to the Internet!
It would appear that you can plug in the A320 into your ADSL Router . Alternatively dont use the A320 and run an Ethernet cable from the ADSL Router to the NMR (MR100) . If you do this you leave free the Ethernet port on the back of your computer, into which you can plug the Ethernet cable from your ADSL Router and preserve you Internet connection.
I am cosidering buying a new Vaio Desktop(RC102 or RC202)
Has anyone tried connecting the NMR(MR100) via their wired ADSL Router ? If so I would like to hear from you
Thanks
Mike
I was not quiet sure what you were trying to do. If you have A320, the router part of it has ADSL or WAN port for your modem and 2 additional Ethernet ports, one of them should be connected to your VAIO via network cable. The available ethernet port can be connected to your Roomlink. But since the MR100 has wireless embedded you can stream wirelessly from your PC to your TV/AV receiver (unless you stream HDV you should use a network cable). Hope it helps.

Thanks(Stan) for your help. I was trying to avoid using the Ethernet port on my Vaio Desktop, as I use this for the ethernet cable from my ADSL router. My concern was that if you plugged i the A320 into the ethernet port on your Vaio Desktop (as suggested by the Installation Guide) that you would then not be able to connect to the internet!
However it would appear that there are two ways of avoiding this .
1) Do not use the A320 and just run an ethernet cable from your ADSL Router to the Network Media Receiver (which has an ethernet port). You have indicated that this network cable method is better if you want to stream HDTV
2)Plug the A320 into your ADSL Router and it will wirelessly steam to the Network Media Receiver .
With 1) +2) above the Ethernet port on the Vaio Desktop remains free to take the ethernet cable from the ADSL router, thus preserving your Internet connection.
I am not sure that the A320 has two ethernet ports. The Installation Guide shows the A320 plugged into the A320 power unit ,which has an ethernet port --from which a blue crossover cable can be run to your ADSL Router.
