my notebook sometimes crash..

hello
i have this notebook, vgn-fz11z, and, sometimes, when i turn it off and turn it on passed one hour or more the nootbook apears black screen..and i have to turn it off in the bottom.. and turn it on again to start correctly..
what´s the problem?
i dont understand what is happening...
i have windows vista.. and only update in windows update...

another problem is:
i have a external hard disk, and if it is on when i turn on the notebook,he doesnt pass the vaio screen..
it´s normal?

I don't have vista, but it sounds like it could be a chipset driver problem.

You could try uninstalling and then reinstalling it, but I'm sorry, not sure how its done in vista.

One of the experts will, no doubt, offer you good advice shortly.

Hi tiago_7 and welcome,

I don't know the answer but it does sound like your nVidia GeForce 8400M GT GPU needs updated drivers. Unfortunately, the graphics card is so new that Sony have not released any new drivers yet and you may have to wait for them to be developed.

You will find updated beta drivers here at LaptopVideo2Go but I think I would contact Sony first and ask if new official drivers are coming shortly.
