My Cub Vaio updater

Hi all

I have a problem with my Vaio where a dialogue appears asking me to connect to the Internet to download the latest version of 'My Club Vaio' whenever I log on to the PC. The weird thing is that I am on line at the time. It is a bit of a pain as the only way I can get the dialogue to close is via Program manager.

I am running Vista business on a VGN-TX5XN.

Any help with getting around this would be appreciated.

I am having the same problem - unfortunately the Patch does not work. I have a Vaio VGN-SZ4XWN/C with German Windows Vista.

Thank you, Thalamus, unfortunately this patch does not work either. I can't install it and receive the message that the application can't be downloaded, as required files are missing ...

I have no idea what to do!

Hi ceedee,

Do you have the original My Club Vaio files still installed on your vaio..?

You should be able to locate the files in something like C:\Program Files\Sony\MyClubVAIO\, check by going to Start, then type myclubvaio.exe into the Search Box.
