Looking for step-by-step instruction for wireless network media receiver

Hello, I just installed my Vaio RZ504. I didn't manage to setup a wireless connection between the Network Media Receiver (NMR) and the Viao. It works with aan ethernet cable. When setting up a wireless peer-to-peer connection with the wireless ethernet adapter, I have to retain the ethernet cable to keep the wireless network up (not very practical though...).
Any suggestions of step-by-step instructions for this setup?

Thanks in advance, Leen

I have the same model and was totally confused by the instructions that came with the unit, eventually I managed to get it working as a peer to peer wireless link using the supplied PCMCIA card but I want to use it on an existing wireless network taking its IP address from my existing dhcp router. So far not succeeded in getting it to pick up the IP address. I could only get it to work when disabling the Internet security software in any case. To make it work with the peer to peer setup I did follow the instructions included on a separate flyer in with the unit, involved me in directly attaching the wireless converter to the Vaio PC and then configuring prior to attaching it to the hifi and TV in the lounge, looks like this is the only way of setting the config in the wireless converter. Sorry can't be of more help, when I get a reply from Sony tech I'll post it.

 I have exactly the same problem...the NMR just won't show up on my existing wireless network. The other problem I have is that if, as the instructions which came with the kit describe, run the software to configure the Wlan converter, all my existing Wlan settings are re-written for my internet connection. I too have tried Sony but as yet no luck.

Help please!!

You should look through My Documentation on the desktop too...

If My Documentation is not on the desktop, click Start, then click the My Documentation Link. Have your recovery CD's or DVD to hand as you may need it to open the PDF files that lurk inside.
