Hi All Can anyone help with my simple problem. One of the keys on my keyboard is 'iffy' but its not worth sending the laptop back for repair. I there anything simple I can do - ie how can I clean it?

If you have a spare hour just lift the key off and get some compressed air to remove the rubbish, then try to clip it back on (not easy).

Lol the single key I removed is still sitting on my desk a month later cos I can't get the damn thing back on.

Yeah it's not easy at all.
On my Toshiba I managed to get one back on after 3hrs.

They are in fact very easy to replace, when you know how.

Completely remove the white bearer from the bottom of the key. Make sure the 2 sections of it are still interlinked, so that it folds flat. Place it in position on the keyboard, by hooking it over on the left hand end and slipping the arms under the loops on the right. (It is impossible to do this the wrong way round.)

Once you have it in position and sitting flat, simply place the key in position and press down firmly. It will snap into place.

Thanks for all the help. Because of the difficulties that you made me aware of I choose to give it a good hoovering and this seemed to have worked. However, I now have info should I need it in future. Thanks again
