Increase graphics memory on VGN-TX1XP

Don't know if I'm missing something obvious here, how do you increase the graphics memory from the 8meg default up to 128meg(I think!)

I have checked Bios and vaio control panel with no luck

Hi Rob and welcome to Club Vaio.

The process is automatic. Your Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 has zero dedicated graphics memory and automatically takes all its graphics memory from your RAM if this is available whenever an application needs it.

Best to make sure you have the full 1536MB of memory installed so that 128MB is spare!!.

If your question is prompted by thoughts of Vista - it's bad news. The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 is not Vista compliant and will not run Aero.

Thank you for your help, looks like an upgrade is required then!! I get slow java applets when there is a lot of flash on the screen.
