My 20 GB HitachiHDD just died and I want to replace it with a 40 GB one. My recovery discs for WIN XP Home may be damaged. Can I install WIN 95 or 98 on the new HDD instead? Ideas please!
As you have a valid XP license, you can just install from any XP Home-CD you can get.

You could also call the support and ask them to send you a new set of recovery discs. I don't know if they will do it but it's worth a try. Here are the phone numbers for Europe:
