FZ11Z Motion eye camera problem

My FZ11Z laptops built in motion eye camera fails to run with skype or the capture utility and states every time that its in use by another application.I would really appreciate help as im not great with this kind of thing.I thought i will come here first as this forum has been outstanding for me in the past.

What Version VAIO Camera Capture Utility do you have installed, is it 2.2.01.04100..

Also have you downloaded and installed the Microsoft Camera Hotfix KB931812 (I've attached this file below)

I have version 2.2.00.140140.


I havent installed the hotfix.Should i do this now? I mainly need to be able to use the camera for skype but it gives me that same error each time.
