FS115B fail to boot after system cache setting changed

Hey, guys, ive just brought a FS115B, Its a great computer for everyday job, however, i have encountered several problems during my first 10 days of usage:

1) the screen buzzing problem - I do have this problem when i trun down the screen brightness, however, the buzz noize is so small that i hardly notice it. But still annoying. do you guys think sony are going to update any driver to fix it? or do i need to send it back when sony europe has figure out the solution?

2) After I assign the memory usage into system cache instead of program, i reboot the computer but fail to boot into window, i have to adjust it back from safe mode in order to boot into window normally. Assignning memory to system cache is a common way to speed up window performance and i do it to all the computer i have and none of them seems to have problem. Can any of you guys try on your computer and see if it works?

system properties> advance > performance setting > advance > assign memory usage to system cache

Please help, thank you

Henry

In response to 2), I have just altered the settings on my GR114SK and re-booted without any apparent problems:smileyconfused:

Thanks rich912, but has anyone got the same machine FS115B experienced? I am thinking that it might be the graphic card or memory hardware problem

For problem 1, it's a problem with the inverter and I would indicate to Sony that you have this buzzing problem.

anyone else experience the same problem?

To 1) I have the same problem with the damn noise when the level of brightness is lower than the maximum level. The only way to get rid of the noise is setting the highest level of brightness all the time that is unacceptable. Is there any one with the other FS series such as FS115S having the similar effect?
To 2) I have not tried it yet

i wonder does the refresh rate got to do with it?

Eugene,

Nope, Sony SUA said it was an inverter issue, but Sony Europe don't see it.

for issue number 1, can you guys hear the noise clearly? I cant, its just a very very tiny noise. But Issue number 2 is a bit of problem for me................... the system either go unstable or fail to boot into windows.
