Having now got my vista upgrade discs for my n11m, I want to free up the 8gb partition of my hard drive which at the moment has the original xp backup info on it.
How can I do it??

Hi Jamie,

welcome to Club Vaio..

If you remove the recovery partition be aware that if you have a CD/DVD drive problem or your recovery disc get lost or damaged, then you won't be able to use the recovery partition to restore your Vaio..

If you are sure you want to remove the recovery partition, make sure you create and TEST a couple recovery disc sets before you remove the recovery partition..

Here is Sony's official guide , there are also third party programs such as Paragon Partition Manager ..

will i be able to do this from my vista install disc or will i have do revert to xp first?
