Can anyone tell me if this allows the Z1XSP to be locked in, i.e with say a padlock to prevent its removal?
No, It's a simple drop in with two plastic hooks to hold it in place. If someone wished to steal it there would be little difficulty. The unit, however, is excellent and you could directly secure the Vaio.
