I know I posted something a few weeks back but I have been busy with exams.
I have since mid April, I found that my DVD RW drive is not as it should be. It thinks it is a regular CD - Rom drive, I have tried to uninstal and reinstal it view add/remove new hardware, but it keeps comming up as CD-Rom, although it can read DVDs as data discs (display the folders etc).
Does anyone know how to mend this, I know it sounds like a driver conflict or something, how do I download original drivers from sony (just the one I need) and would this help? could the driver on my computer be corrupt?
I know I could clean instal bit then if it still isn't working I wont be able to get my programs like Word and Norton and other bits and bobs back on.
I know there is a thread about CD/DVD drives, but it's tooooooo long, any help appreciated,
