BUGCODE USB DRIVER Error

I have had my vaio for quite a while now but have been having problems with a dreaded blue screen crash which comes up with the error BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER. I am unsure what is causing this problem and it only appears to happen after the computer has been in sleep mode. My computer is a vaio vgc-la2. Anyone else been having this problem and know how it can be solved?

Check that you have Hotfix KB941600 installed. This was a Cumulative update rollup for USB core components in Windows Vista including the "STOP 0×000000FE BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER" error. You can download it here: -

If this fails to fix it, can you give any further details of the Error Codes given on the Blue Screen?

Thanks for the link. I've downloaded the hotfix and no problems so far. We'll see how long it lasts though!
