Brightness doesn`work

I've recently bought a Vaio SZ4MN/B and until now I cannot get brightness control to work.
When I press blue keys to increase/decrease, image apears on screen but brightness doesn't change.

Has anyone any idea about how to solve this?

You need to reinstall the VAIO Utilities, if you can't find them, they're on the VAIO-Link website.
