boot up time until the HDD is idle

i have a pcgk315s and to me this laptop take too long to boot up and i just to find out if this is normal or if i need to investigate the matter further. to make is simple it take 2 minutes to boot up and the HDD to be idle tht is the led swithes off and i did this test under diagnostic mode. I am aware tht in normal start up it is 3 minute due to the softwares install and that the process are 54 and also that this time would be diffenent to everyone else. so lets just stick to diagnostivc mode under msconfig. I would like to know if should take 2 minutes under this condition for this specfic model as to me it feels like it should boot up much faster then this.

i would also like to find out who has the fastest boot up time on there LAPTOP.

It really depends what is running on startup. I wouldnt worry about diagnostic speed, its not like it's used much. Try grabbing a copy of PerfectDisk from Google, and run the Smart Placement defrag then the boot defrag. It should make a good deal of difference to your computer as a whole.
